Doggies and Stamps

So I woke up this morning...well about an hour ago (13:30 ^_^) and thought, okay so let's write out the postcards for postcrossing. I couldn't find them anywhere in my room, so I ventured downstairs. Not in the kitchen, not in the living room...

Then I saw a little chewed up packet on the floor. The dogs had grabbed it off the side and had a little nosy at them. There's just one that's slightly bent, the others have survived. But still, I was a little bit annoyed. I'm probably the only one in the family who doesn't 'adore' these dogs; I tolerate them. Even if they are cute :3 That beige-ish coloured one up there is Kane, though I like to call him Kanye because it's cooler. Then the black and sandy coloured one is Sadie. She's the one who likes to bite a lot. We rescued her from a family that were abusing her so she's really timid and defensive.

Anyways. STAMPS. So confusing. I understand that letters cost a certain amount to send depending on the weight and where they're going to, and I understand that the post office put that amount on the envelope in stamps...but STILL. What if I wanted to not go to the post office one day, could I just throw on a few first class stamps if I knew it would be enough, write the airmail thing and throw them in a postbox? Because 1st and 2nd class stamps don't have the amount written on them, but does that matter? Meh. Post office it is!

Hope everyone is okay :)

Hello!

Hey!

Well I thought I'd start a blog dedicated to my new found hobby since a lot of other people seem to do the same thing. That hobby is writing letters the old way, often referred to as 'snail mail'. I've gathered up a lovely bunch of people to exchange letters with an have been writing for nearly three weeks now. I love it when I have letters come through my post box in the morning!

Anyway, my name is Steph and I'm sixteen years old. I'll turn seventeen on 10.10.10 and live in a town called Warrington in England. I'm terrible at describing myself, but if you're willing to exchange letters with a young british girl then by all means email me: stephanie.r@live.co.uk :)

I'll be keeping a record of what I receive and what I send out each week. I've decided to make Friday my post out day to save me from spending all my time at the post office.

So for now, bye bye!
